This recipe is so easy, as well as pretty healthy, compared to store-bought ices.

You will  need 3 cups of ice, 2 tbs. sugar, 1 tbs. fresh lemon juice, 2 tbs. honey, and 3 cups of 1 your favorite fruits (Choices: watermelon, pineapple, mango, honeydew, cantaloupe, peach. blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, kiwi, cherry, banana)

1.) In a blender or food processor, blend 2 cups of ice, the fruit, honey, lemon juice & sugar until it is a chunky consistency.

2.) Next add another 1 cup of ice & blend until complete smooth.

3.) Then pour the mixture into a shallow baking dish, & freeze for 30 minutes.

4.) Last, with a fork, scrape the ice mixture until it is a slushy consistency, and freeze for about 2 more hours, until firm.

Kids LOVE to help, have them wash the fruit, (I bought a plastic cabbage knife, in Bed & Bath so they can chop the fruit) and help you with each step.

When children help prepare foods, it promotes them to try new things, and is a great bonding too!
